The pink parasols at Sugar Beach looked so surreal the day I took this photograph in the midst of one of Toronto's coldest winters a few years ago. It was so icy and deserted with the fog dropped down like a grey blue blanket all around me. I was a little scared being there all alone even though it was something like 12 noon. It was beautiful... and like being on another planet. The beauty of photography, especially winter photography in Toronto is that if I choose the right moment I can make something spectacular from nature's own painting. Some don't believe Toronto has such compelling places... that's because they are often not that easy to find and are a bit mysterious, hiding in plain sight. My Pink Parasols on Sugar Beach image one of my most popular prints and part of my Waterfront Collection which is currently up for a limited time. Get your little piece of Toronto printed on to premium canvases and then stretched on a wooden frame of 1.5" x 1.5" stretcher bars.
