Abstract Poppies, is an Impasto painting I did for Remembrance Day using a variety of digital oil and Sargent paintbrushes. A wreath of poppies and poppies in a field I thought were the perfect way to remember a time so important to many. This painting is also beautiful at any time because we need to have brightness and colour in to greet us throughout our day. I created and painted the background by combining textures and blending them with different blending brushes, painting them and then painting in the light. I hope you feel as joyful as I do gazing upon these lovely abstract poppies! Guaranteed to raise your spirits.
