Cone flowers... imaging them dancing, floating gently with their petals moving up and down. OK, that might be a wee bit fanciful but then again... I painted this from a photo of ordinary Cone flowers and wanted to turn them into something both mesmerizing and calming and that's what they do for me. I started with blending textures for the background with an oily blender brush to create a backdrop for my flower painting and then a texture finished it off.
